Become a carer

Our foster carers come from all walks of life. Most of them came to us with no experience of fostering but now enjoying meaningful, rewarding careers.

If you're optimistic, energetic, a good listener, can handle whatever life throws at you, and love the pace of a hectic full life – then you could be just the person we're looking for.

It doesn’t matter what ethnic group you’re from – or if you’re married, divorced, living with a partner or single; gay or lesbian; own or rent your home; have a disability, a qualification or a job.

We offer excellent training and there is ongoing support from a professional, committed, friendly team.  Our carers receive good allowances – £313- £388 per week, depending on experience. There are also generous tax allowances for fostering households.

We look forward to meeting you!

I’ve fostered for ten years and transferred to ROC are when I moved from the south. I’m amazed at the amount of support I get and I really feel part of the agency.

WL, Durham

After a 20 year career in the travel industry, I became a foster carer. As a family we haven’t regretted it. It's challenging at times, but extremely rewarding!

JE, Hurworth-on-Tees.

Seeing the difference we’re making in N’s life is absolutely amazing!
