The flats sit next to our Hope House offices in Newton Aycliffe on the edge of a housing estate. They all have kitchen, bathroom, living room and one or two bedrooms and were designed, decorated and furnished in consultation with young people in our foster care agency.
The town centre is a short bus ride away from Hope House. It has a refurbished leisure centre, which includes a gym and swimming pool, a library, a youth club and a large superstore. A smaller shopping parade is within walking distance of the flats. Durham, Bishop Auckland and Darlington are all nearby and have colleges offering a wide variety of couses.
Our supported housing provision is in Newton Aycliffe and in the Stockton area where we partner with agencies such as Billingham Evironmental Link Project (BELP) for training opportunities. There are daily staff drop-ins
The service is over and above what I’ve come across with other supported accommodation providers.
