The group meets regularly in a social setting with support workers, to discuss house rules, plan social events and organise fund-raising, including formal applications.
Events include meals out and confidence-building outdoor activities breaks in the Lake District. Young Hopefuls also host an annual open day for their families, local residents, councillors, MPs and social work professionals. They have also successfully raised funds for a Portakabin, which sits in the grounds and contains games. television and some gym equipment.
There is a ROCSOLID vegetable garden and a charity which makes food for homeless people is also based in our main building. Young people at Hope House are encouraged to help prepare the food, with supervision, and those in supported houses can volunteer to distribute it.
Please note that for contractual purposes, all planned activities undertaken by Hope House young people and those in supported houses are done so separately.
Fantastic standard of accommodation, very helpful staff work very well with young people and agencies involved.

There’s nowhere quite like ROCSOLID in terms of caring and creating a family atmosphere.
